yes. i switched to ubuntu. I was still skeptical about the whole thing but when my WINDOWS XP SP2 started having her PMS on my desktop (on MSN lag, on IE hang on Media Player the mp3 got stuck!)i quickly switched to ubuntu.

What is Ubuntu? and why adrianc is suddenly so high about it?

Its an operating system. something like Windows XP/VIsta or Tiger OSX (Mac). But the best thing is that its free! Yes ridiculous but true, its a linux-based open source software!

installing was super fast. i backup my stuffs in the partition then reformat my windows partition. got it up and running in less than 25 minutes.

The graphics are stunning. they also have gadgets (vista) or widgets (mac OS). its for human beings allrite!

Its working great for me. Ever since i install it it never lags and it never hanged. YES NOT EVEN ONCE (yet touch wood). I was worried that i could not use most of my applications. However i find GIMP works as great as ADOBE CS2, AMSN, AMULE, FROSTWIRE(Limewire), SKYPE!, FIREFOX!.

everything is there! installing the software was even easier. Just type the command in the terminal (like train terminal or command prompt), IT downloads the software from the database(they call it software repositories) its something like the sperm bank rofl.

THE BEST THING IS ITS FREE.
yes the softwares too. FREE FREE FREE! FREE AS IN BEER!
the update manager even updates your software. unlike vista (ahem) where my com wont start after installing update! rofl

and dun play play u know. ubuntu has a deep meaning.

Its no surprise that even Dell now ship its computer systems pre-loaded with UBUNTU!

plus since ubuntu doesnt run dlls. files (which is commonly the virus), it doesnt need an anti-virus. its like super clean and safe.

Good specs isnt it? that WAS my wife notebook. until i returned it to Compaq for a full refund. Actually its a good buy. However, the vista home basic that came with it totally screw up everything. I can however reformat the whole thing and install it with some other operating system like windows xp professional or ubuntu but unfortunately i wasnt prepared to spend so much time FIXING something i just BOUGHT. a lot of driver problems- graphics driver and bluetooth driver problems. sadly but true the built of the whole notebook thingy was not good also. as if it was really really cheaply made.

FIRST- It came to my house a few weeks ago. LONG AWAITED WIFE. COMPAQ PRESARIO V3205 TU. sleekish and as sexy as paris hilton.

connecting to the internet was easy. plug and play. then open DVD drive. LOAD DVD TO WATCH AND VOILA. WHATS THAT NOISEEEE? seriously it sounded really noisy. the DVD is scartching towards the top part of the drive (inside). as if someone is doin dj remixing with my DVD. okay maybe i was paranoid. open, check to see if it fits firmly. Then that farting sound again. ITS SO IRRITATING OKAY!. check with other dics. okay i give up. i dun wanna wake up my neigbours when watching 18+DVDs on my laptop in the middle of the night with that noisy noise!

HP was quick enough to send me a replacement unit a week later. That was quite fast considering i waited 2weeks plus for the computer to come from CHINA.
Open pack, everything was great..until to my HORROR (yes HORROR), the battery cant fit the laptop properly. OMG. AM I GOING to carry this notebook around with THE BATTERY FITTED so LOOSE as if its gonna drop off? what if my battery drop off when walking off starbucks?

great. just great. complained to the head of HP and they sent me a replacement battery a few days later. and that fitted properly, solved the problem.

But yet VISTA was having its PMS. computer failed to detect bluetooth, graphics driver malfunctioning, screen keep turning off occasionally (BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH). and worse thing is my com DOESNT want to turn off when i pressed shut down. It went like “SHUTTING DOWN’ screen where you cant press any bloody thing for more than half an hour until the whole unit became so hot.

okay then finally i used the manual restart. PLUG OFF then hell, pull off the battery. RESTART computer than DISCK CHECK that runs shows a lot of bad sector in my HDD. okay fine, reformat laptop to fresh configuration. ADOBE FAILED TO LOAD. ROXIO FAILED TO START.

okay ive screwed enough with my wife. contacted HP for a full refund.

i just divorced my WIFE.

After three weeks of holidays, finally back to Monash new campus. Its a cool new place. Happy New Sem everyone.

time to work hard and start anew. second chances dont come. T.T sob sob

Okay now i really wanna watch this. Almost everyone ask me me Hey have you watch transformers?
And whenever i ask ppl ( i dont usually watch in cinemas except its well worth my eight ringgit). hey hows Transformers? Everyone will say WHOA DAMN NICE OKAY!!! with horny and high looks on their face as if they just watched paris hilton private sex video in the cinema or had orgasm while watching Transformers in the cinema.

Now its making me really anxious to watch this great movie. Better than hairy putter? Better than prawn movies?

During the holidays i watched this drama. 10 short but sweet episodes. Im a really fussy kdrama watcher. If that particular drama is so bloody boring, i would stop halfway and not finish watching it. However, Tree of Heaven is different. There are very little boring ‘parts’, rated safe for children except for those who cries easily.

This drama is about a girl who gets a family she had always wanted when her mother remarried. Having no father prior to his death, Hana dreams of a happy family came true when she gets a stepfather and a stepbrother, Yoon Suh. Yoon Suh also lost his mother (yea sad.) Worse still his mother died when he is celebrating his 10th birthday. This is why he was so saddened that he become really really ‘weird’, not letting anyone into his heart.

Soon they fell in love but Hana tried to escape love. How could she when he is her brother? To add fire theres this Maya who is the protagonist who will make Hana’s life miserable.

Yes its quite good actually. And the director for this drama is also the director for Love Story in Harvard and Stairway to Heaven. and yes Stairway of Heaven is a legendary tear-jerker. I would have expected more tears for this drama but i only cried my balls off at the first episode. After that things are just normal.
