We do have many credit cards around. even in my wallet alone i have three different ones from UOB and HSBC, both Visa and Mastercard. Of course, spending with credit card seems to be more ‘yeng’ but in the end, we still have to pay up at the end of the month.
It also depends on how ’smart’ you manage your money. I personally think that when it comes to cash, its harder to handle than using credit card. Sometimes when you need money the most, the cash seems to run out fast. also credit card tracks what you buy. at the end of the month when the statement comes, you get to see everything you spent in a single sheet(or maybe 2 or 3 sheets if you are uhm spending more
)
sometimes i just spend until the next time i open my wallet waaaa theres no cash money left? thats where the credit card comes in. it never gets dry
and its a competitive world out there. with so many similarities between these cards, im sure users will have a hard time choosing which card to use when it come to paying.
however, instead of hiring staffs flocking around the mall, persuading users to get their card, shouldnt they offer something like mint credit card offer?

0% on balance transfers (2.5% fee) until 1 November 2008
0%on purchases until 1 April 2008
0% bonus offer until 1 July 2009 on balance transfers debited to your account during January 2009 (2.5% fee)
*Manage your account online
*Up to 56 day interest-free period on purchases
and many more.

unfortunately this great service is only available in UK if im not mistaken.
even though they are new, they strive to attract customers by offering awesome and tempting credit card service. cant they offer something better like what mint has to offer instead of cheap free gifts such as pen or mugs or even ‘branded’ watches in malaysia?
we should have a flavored credit card in malaysia too. hmnnn
