I have been with Advertlets for months now. Well, you must have been hit hard with all those news, blog posts and comments about these two popular blog-advertising middleman, Nuffnang and Advertlets. Everywhere you go you will see some Nuffnang supporters, and some Advertlets supporters, some even flaming or b!tchslapping each other and debating which one is better.

Not that im greedy for money, but cant we have the best of BOTH worlds?

Media advertising is a tricky business, its like choosing between Jessica Alba or Paris Hilton.

jessica-alba-picture-1.jpgparis_hilton_at_the_beach.jpg

Die edy lo now, how to choose?

Here, we are to face the same question, Advertlets or Nuffnang?  These things always conflict with each other, because they are competitiors (advertising ma). Which one to put higher? Which one to take more space on you blog? Being greedy, if you put ALL OF THOSE advertisements on your blog, its a turn off. I dont feel like visiting any blog which is filled mostly with ads ALL OVER THE PAGE. Im not saying you cant be money oriented but too many advertisements is really really disturbing. Not to mention we load it with streamyx slowpoke speed.

Recently, Nuffnang ads have been pouring in to my blog, so I decided to give them a try. After all, listening to people wont do, you must experience and evaluate them yourself.

I have yet to receive any cheque from Nuffnang, (as I said Im just starting to give them a try), almost cashing out though. The same goes to Advertlets, but I have cashed out on OCT 11. Exactly 3 months now but I’m yet to get my cheque. Hmn, a lil worried thats all. You see, when people are cashing out, they get pretty excited, Not to say that we are impatience or anything, its just tiring that bloggers cant get thier cheque fast when they are anxiously waiting for the day the cheqeu to come!

Based on first impression:

Advertlets:

CPM ads, even if your blog does not have high visitors, these few would probably click on those irresistible deals such as food promotions.

Sometimes they let you do review. This is when u get to do crazy stuffs like camwhoring with your advertlets stickers :)

Nuffnang: I find thier ads, more interactive and eye-catching. A lot of their ads involves users to check out the advertisement.

You get a lot of cool advertisers and advertisement.

Hope im not stating the obvious like everyone do!:)

So, who will win?

When u say, you dont care about looks and appearance, the heart is what matters most, is it true?

Notice the cute ads all over blogs you visit (including mine :p)?

Its no other than “Advertlets.com – Blog Advertising in Asia!” advertising network. Ive registered with them since July 2007 and being with them is really really fun. Instead of boring (shhh) google adwords where else can you find ads that is actually so colourful and fits every blog perfectly. Whether its a personal blog, or informative blog, as long as its a blog advertlets brings advertisers and bloggers together. its as if those ads are supermodels posing in your lil bloggie!

After all, its their motto: advertisers+bloggers= money+happy

my moto: advertlets+me+readers like you = fun+money!

Though i havent cash out for the first time yet, Its fun to see how these guys are playing with their freebies and of course their advertlets blogger paychecks! Delivered straight to your homes!

Wahlewoot. advertlets is like santa okay. Delivering the smiles all over!

Besides that, adverlets not only has a lot of advertisers with them, they are also super generous. For instance with this lil post of mine i am getting RM20(muacks) if im approved! yeah just like that! You could also be part of the fun!

cant wait for my first cashout end of this month! wah exciteddd!

my fitness journey- of choosing gyms

i seriously seriously need to work out. no kidding but im getting tired easily. And the extra spare tire im carrying! UH OH! It has been long since my fitness training few months back. but no chance to do exercise!

Then just a month ago, california fitness invited me to join their gym package becuase they are opening one in Sunway Pyramid. For students its RM99 per month. unlimited access to the gym. and its already open!

cfc_logo.gif

In a way its good because everytime i finish class i can find my way to Sunway Pyramid to work out. However my main priority is still to lose weight. After ‘almost’ signing up with them, i asked them clearly

AdrianC: Errr, does this package comes with a fitness trainer?

*****: Yes. Our fitness consultant will help you with your fitness goals. We can arrange it for you.

AdrianC: Okay. It sounds good. How is it arranged?

*****: Its based on the fitness trainer. He will plan everything for you and monitor your progress. You can meet with him a week once or so. You can arrange the appointments.

AdrianC: Are there any additional costs?

*****: (trying to change topic) Why dont you try to pay the deposit first then we arrange everything for you later after you join us. (its been a few days already that me and my dad was not ready to pay because we wanted to know more before we commit ourselves to the 1 year gym package and she asked me for deposit! scammy!)

Its good that you can use the equipments there. But without a fitness trainer you might be doing it the wrong way and ended up having lopsided balls(one ball muscular!) Except you go with experienced gym friends. It seems that you have to pay quite a huge sum if you want the fitness trainer. Another attraction is that you get to go to a variety of classes. kickboxing lar, nipple pinching la(jk) and all sorts of activities. But of course it requires commitment. How often can you go to the classes. To me, its really inconvenient because if i do need to work out on weekend, I stay far away which is in Klang (30 minutes drive without the traffic jam). Of course, the spa and the pretty girls you can see there is a total TEMPTATION.

Ended up we didnt want to go for the gym package. We went ahead to check out YFitness instead.

yfitnessshyt.jpg

YFITNESS claims they are the biggest in Klang. Which gives me good impression at first. However much to my disappointment, BIG isnt really BIG. compared to other fitness centers, it is just small. However thats not the part that pisses me and my dad off.

Halfway during our guided tour which actually can end in 3 minutes(thats how small the place is), thet guy just went on ahead to talk to another guy who came in after leaving us standing there doing nothing for around 5 minutes,.

WHAT? HELOOO. at least say sorry or excuse me? He just went on ahead. Then he came back when we were back to our seats ourselves. We scolded him and he apologised. So we went on talking bout the plans.

RM85 per month.

Dad: How bout free trials? To see if we can get used to everything around here. Other fitnesscenters are offering us free trials about a week or so.

***: Uhm one day trial.

Me: ONE DAY?

***: UNLIMITED! you can come even before we open the door and leave when we close shop.

me and dad: !!!!!!! Okay we going off. no time.

Helooooo Mr smart guy operator of the biggest fitness center in KLANG, Fitness First is offering us trials for 1 week and they have been begging us to go for the past few months. Just that we didnt consider it since its hidden far in Taipan. Even CALIFORNIA FITNESS has a 1 week trial. But you give ONE DAY and yet you say such a cheap sentence? What as if we really want to go for the free trial at you fitness center now? PTUII.

Im telling you, if this is the way they operate business, they will forever be the biggest loser. until california fitness opens one in Klang and you go bancrupt. To add oil to the fire, when we went into YFitness, we already see a few threadmills SPOILT. Plus it was supposed to be peak hour (we went on a saturday) but we hardly see anyone there.

What a great first impression. And therefore you shall not get our money. In the end i didnt go or apply for any gym. Whats my plan? hmnnn… personal gym at home?

First we have the famous para-para dance machine…next we have the drum-thingy where you hit drums (my friend is madd about this game). Whats next?

Arm Wrestling game machine? Instead of winning the game and get your losing friend to pay for the beer bills, you leave with one proud achievement of winning the game AI ‘Artificial Intelligence’, AND a BROKEN ARM.

TOKYO – Lose a game of chess to a computer, and you could bruise your ego. Lose an arm-wrestling match to a Japanese arcade machine, and you could break your arm.

Distributor Atlus Co. said Tuesday it will remove all 150 “Arm Spirit” arm wrestling machines from Japanese arcades after three players broke their arms grappling with the machine’s mechanized appendage.

“The machine isn’t that strong, much less so than a muscular man. Even women should be able to beat it,” said Atlus spokeswoman Ayano Sakiyama, calling the recall “a precaution.”

“We think that maybe some players get overexcited and twist their arms in an unnatural way,” she said. The company was investigating the incidents and checking the machines for any signs of malfunction.

Players of “Arm Spirit” advance through 10 levels, battling a French maid, drunken martial arts master and a Chihuahua before reaching the final showdown with a professional wrestler. news source news.yahoo.com

So dont get too excited when playing a game. :) We never know the side effects. lol

The arcade machine is not distributed overseas.

maybe soon they will come to Malaysia? Then we can all break our arms game machine arms.
