Hope she gets well…

Yok Shan is a beautiful name. Like every other babies, she wants to come into this world healthy. Despite being born prematurely, Yok Shan was seen healthy and active in the incubator. However, it seems like the hospital caused problems to her.

n_pg03arm.jpg

I was shocked when i see this picture.

Lim(lawyer) said a doctor told the parents that Yok Shan’s infected fingers, which were dry and brittle, faced the risk of falling off on their own.

It seems that when Yok Shan was put in the incubator and a drip attached to her left hand, her hand got infection, turned black and swelled the next day and would have to be cut off.

Dr Yahaya had met the parents several times and apologised on behalf of the hospital.

The hospital has assumed responsibility and apologised to the parents, mechanic Lai Kian Khee, 24, and his Thai wife Nut Tuemthong, 27.

Yes and how are you going to take responsibility? A child’s future is being destroyed. She was born healthy. How are you going to give her back her arm and her future?

My mum said that she didnt send us to government hospital when we were born and instead sent us to specialist. I mean how can we trust our government hospitals again? Before this there were already cases such as babies mistakenly switched in the hospital. How careless can they get!?!

If you listen to the news, it happened in HTAR (Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah) Klang. Although after being taken care by specialists, her infection swelled down by 1.5 cm now.

Lets all pray for her to get well soon.

Petition For Peace

peace.JPG

I got to know of this petition through wunnie on msn. Petitions are not something new but for peace sake, why not make a difference by voicing out? You may not be a superstar, you may not be a beauty queen or Miss Universe. You may only be a student. But you want world peace. We all need it. All you need it to just voice out and sign the petition. One or two may not be heard but a few million people around the globe will create a strong voice. Strong enough for change.

ABOUT THE PETITION AND AFS

AFS Intercultural Programs pioneered exchanges for young people 60 years ago when 52 young people from 10 different countries came to the United States for a year-long exchange experience. The hope for the AFS founders was that by having many young people walking and talking together they would create the basis for a more just and peaceful world. The need for intercultural exchanges today is a great as it ever was.

AFS is sponsoring a major, high profile undertaking for its 60th anniversary year that will be a Petition Drive to gather signatures in support of a global expansion of youth exchange programs.

Apart from signing the petition(no donations needed, just your support, your email and name), you may voice out by answering three thoughtful questions. Questions meaningful but much often neglected.

Three questions:

1. What do you think needs to happen for the world to achieve peace?

World peace is not something that is going to happen overnight. The world is often ruined just because we do not understand each other. Conflict Conflict and never ending Conflict. There was never understanding. Peace is a process. It requires unity and the desire of change for the better. Everyone must get involved. Because the process is OURSELVES.

2. If you traveled to another country or went on an exchange program, tell us where you went and how that experience changed your perspective on the world?

Ive traveled to Singapore years ago. Its an amazing country. The way they study, the way they work, the way they research. They have very little land. They are on a tiny dot on the map. They have very little plantations. But they work hard through the resource they have, brain power. Instead of being jealous at them or we call them ‘KIASU’ (afraid to lose), why not learn from them? We always talk but we never walk the talk. There is never a limit for growth and development. Its all effort.

3. Do you agree with the statement “International youth exchanges promote peace.” Why?

YES. youth are the future leaders. When our future leaders understands each and every culture, without having grudges, discrimination, bias, they are not just a leader of any a country. They are the future leaders of our world.

Look at the amount of ‘PEACE’ they have completed. Its an incredible effort.

So sign it now and make a difference. Together.

What are your opinions about world peace? Ive seen some ppl saying that its impossible to obtain peace. Is that being pessimist or realistic? Would we ever obtain world peace?

Top 10 Girl Pickup Lines In Library

went to the library with full intention to study. seriously. Monash University Library is freaking cold okay. its not a library but rather a huge freezer. Maybe they want the books to last longer hahaha.

Anyway i was determined to study. Because of the coldness, i am always wearing the thick sweater. Howver much to my surprise, many girls wear very little. How THE HECK can they stand the coldness? i mean they are wearing those spaghetti and mini-shorts and skirts and all those tempting dresses. makes me really really hot(luckily its cold in the library). haha. WOW. monash girls knows how to stay sexy even when in a cold freezer like that.

cheaters cheat who?

like in some kind of movie, guess who cheat(ed) who?

THEY CHEATED THE POLICE!

They actually duped the police into paying them RM5mil for imitation spare parts used for their police patrol cars and police vehicles.

WOW this is like a master plan. of course, considering that the police has over 21,000 vehicles nationwide, imagine how much they can earn by cheating?

of course, not something to be happy about.
If you say, Heck, the police padan muka. They SAMAN me now they kena!

but come to think again, WHOSE MONEY ARE THEY USING? yes, our daddys and mommys money! taxpayers money!

Or course, we do not want to see our police proton wira breakdown while trying to chase thieves or the tayars fall off while drifting on high-speed-chases.

Hopefully the police will catch up and get them!

streamyx

Streamyx finally rolled out its 4Mbit/s package. However is it a good deal?

DEAL OR NO DEAL?

in my opinion, its not. sadly but true, when we compare our prices and technology with other countries, we do feel cheated. I pay RM 88 per month for my streamyx 1Mbits/s package. Yes it do comes with a lot of extra stuffs in the package. such as

1. bad telephone customer service
2. ocassional/seasonal/frequent downtime. streamyx is like having PMS every now and then
3. really really bad upload data transfer rate ( i cant upload my any bloody photos whens its high quality. have to shrink it and destroy the quality.)
4. overpriced internet service

as always, they say speed is at the best effort.

If they cant even satisfy the 1Mbit/s customers, how would they do with the 4Mbit/s ones?

when other countries are giving away basic broadband packages from 8Mbit/s, cheaper than our 4mbit/s, customers actually feel cheated, dont we?

anyone with the 4Mbit/s service so far? according to what i heard, tmnet gave free upgrades to 4Mbit/s to some customers in Kuala Lumpur. How true is this news, im not sure either.

“A 75-year-old woman from Karlstad in central Sweden has been given a scorching 40 Gbps internet connection — the fastest residential connection anywhere in the world. Sigbritt Löthberg is the mother of Swedish internet guru Peter Löthberg, who is using his mother to prove that fiber networks can deliver a cost-effective, ultra-fast connection. Sigbritt, who has never owned a computer before, can now watch 1,500 HDTV channels simultaneously or download a whole high definition DVD in two seconds. Apparently ‘the hardest part of the whole project was installing Windows on Sigbritt’s PC.’”

Even this lucky ah mah can surf 40Gbps. wanna be like her? in malaysia we wait till become bones also cannot lar.
